As the end of the year is shortly upon us, I’d like to wish all readers a Merry Christmas and happy New Year — or, more broadly, happy and peaceful holidays. I’ll continue posting during the holidays, albeit less often than usual.

2010 has been an interesting year, both personally and in terms of public events. As the last few days of this decade grow nigh, I’d like to wish each and everyone happy holidays. I’ll be posting some select entries during the next couple of weeks; expect the site to return to full speed after New Year’s.

P.S. Don’t forget to bring the spirit of twentynot2000 into 2011.

With some free time during the holidays, I’m updating the site with some features. One change that has already been made is the addition of a shortlink (⌘.ws) on each single post page, which gives you a shorter permanent link to any post.

Revamping the site’s search feature with relevance-based ranking and support for boolean search operators is a larger undertaking; expect this feature within the next few weeks.

A new version (0.5.6) of the Shortcode WordPress plugin has been released, allowing you to get the total number of images attached in all posts & pages with the code photosingallery.
