I’m a supporter of higher-priced iPhone apps because an App Store with prices higher than $0.99 is more beneficial to developers than the status quo. Doubtful that this app will sell well, though.

Wolfram Alpha’s API a paid service

Ridiculous to charge for API use if you want developers to bite. The article sums things up pretty well:

All of this is a shame, because the API appears like it could be useful. But Wolfram is over-promising what Alpha can deliver and setting a financial bar too high for general use.
