The sequel to the critically acclaimed Trials HD, releasing later this year.

Limbo

Death comes swiftly and brutally when traversing the monochrome forest in Limbo. There’s no traditional story or definitive reason why things happen, but the deliberate atmosphere created by the sparse visuals and ambient sound makes one question whether such things need to exist. In addition to the aesthetics, the physics platforming and puzzle sections are instantly enjoyable – which is why Limbo is not only a worthwhile experience, but a worthwhile game.

I’m slightly ashamed to admit that I found the ending incomprehensible.

Shadow Complex

Aside from fiddly controls and a somewhat throwaway story, It got me interested in a genre I’ve not been a fan of in the past. Also, it’s a perfect example of a title suited for digital download.

Trials HD, a motorcycle racing game not unlike ExciteBike, has been released on Xbox Live Arcade for 1200 Microsoft Points. RedLynx has developed a very challenging but enjoyable game here – for me, it was money well spent (I also get to support local businesses at the same time, which is nice).
