I know — I talk about The Wire all the time.
To explain why David Simon makes the best television in recent memory is nigh on impossible. Maybe it’s because that every second of his work values realism — be it in the setting or in the depiction of human beings and their interactions — above all else. Treme impresses in every area that The Wire impressed in some nine years ago.
