Today’s purchases: Donkey Kong Jungle Beat for the GameCube (I own the bongos, so why not) and Mario’s Tennis for the Virtual Boy (I admit I haven’t got a good reason for this one).
That makes 549 games in my collection. I wonder if I’ll break 600 before year’s end.
Newest purchase added to my game collection: Sega Soccer Slam for the GameCube. I’ve been looking for a frantic local multiplayer sports game; hope this one delivers. Also, I’ll use any excuse for a chance to play with GCN controllers again.
More GameCube collecting: bought the Donkey Kong Jungle Beat pack for 39 euros (CiB). I’ve been looking for one of these in good condition for a while.
Newest addition to my games collection: TimeSplitters 2 for the GameCube.
Hosted a game/TV night yesterday. We played F-Zero GX and Soul Calibur II on the GameCube and the excellent Nidhogg on PC.
We also tried out Eternal Darkness. I recently acquired this game and had not played it before. It is weird. I’m unsure if I hate it or love it.
Just hooked up my XRGB mini. I’ve yet to flash it with the English firmware, so I have no idea what the options do. I did, however, manage to feed it a 480i signal from my GameCube. Mario Kart: Double Dash!! looks glorious with scanlines. Looking forward to messing with the system some more soon.
